Sr. Backend Engineer (f/m/x)

Your mission

Your main responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing the customer-facing solutions in an AWS cloud environment while keeping performance, security, scalability, and testability in mind
You develop pragmatic technical solutions in order to build a product that provides professional psychological mental support for our users
You design a backend architecture, write, review and test code, while taking responsibility for backend, infrastructure, and the deployment of our software solutions
You make sure the mental health data of our users is stored safely and accessed securely, in compliance with existing regulations
You shape the Likeminded engineering culture by being an active participant in our engineering team. You also mentor and develop more junior colleagues.
You drive technical discussions and decision-making within your team by focusing on customer impact and technical quality
Collaborate closely with colleagues from Engineering, Design, Product Management and Data Science to define a roadmap, different features, and iteration scope using agile methodologies.

Your profile

You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the area of Backend Engineering and Databases
You have experience working on the JVM Stack (Java, Kotlin) with Spring Boot. Proficiency with Kotlin is a plus
You have experience creating and deploying system architectures in cloud platforms and an interest in infrastructure as code (AWS, Terraform...)
You have a deep understanding of system architecture and databases

You have a growth mindset and are excited to help your colleagues grow, always thinking of the team before yourself
